I have to be quick here, because we're about to dash off to get Amy from the airport. I'm particularly glad to have gotten all of my writing completed before 9 a.m. because it means I can focus on cleaning, preparing and eating today instead of the writing challenge. That's the best part about this 365 day challenge, I can do it whenever I want to, and after 81 days of practice, I can finish it in a reasonable amount of time. Some days go by extremely quickly and if you don't put in some effort to add to your life's work each and every day, you might find 10 years have gone by without much to show for it purpose wise. If I can keep this going for those 10 years, I would have over 7 million words to show for it, and hopefully over 50 books. They might not all be masterpieces, but it's better than waiting for the masterpiece to come to me :).
Today, I wrote a blog post about using your leftovers and I continued to work on part 2 of 1,000 Character Writing Prompts.
This blog is a daily reflection on my attempts to write 2,500 words a day for an entire year straight. There will be tips, there will be tricks, there may be a little bit of whining, but I'll try to keep it to a minimum :).

Day 52: Goals
When you're in the midst of a challenge, it's a good idea to re-affirm your goals every so often (if not every day). It's easy to lose sight of why you're doing something if the temporary discomfort blinds you from the glorious end result.
Personally, if I can complete my 365 day challenge, I will be able to dramatically increase my body of work and hopefully my income in the process. This is pure Quadrant two work here, that I may now see the benefit of for months or years. Eventually though, all my hard work now will pay dividends in the future in ways I can't even currently comprehend.
I worked on some seedy underbelly character writing prompts today, along with an expository writing prompt list on the website. Happy hump day, y'all!

Day 1: Endurance and Happiness
Today is the beginning of a long journey. I am planning to write at least 2,500 words a day for an entire year straight. 2,000 words on my books to be self-published, 400 words on a Build Creative Writing Ideas blog post and 100 words here.
I'm hoping that keeping this blog up to date with short/sweet posts can help the people of the Internet to hold me accountable for the entire year. If successful, I will have written (at least) 730,000 words worth of books (10-20 full books in total), 146,000 words worth of content on my blog and 36,500 words here for good measure.
Today I worked on my book The Post-College Guide to Happiness and a blog post entitled Increasing Your Writing Endurance. Thanks for stopping by!
